Welcome to the official website of Cub Scout Pack 16, chartered by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council, BSA through Hickory Street Presbyterian Church.
Summer Camp 2011
WHAT A GREAT SUMMER!
Pack 16 had 20 Scouts attend at least one of our three council camps: 3 or 5 Day Resident Camp, Parent and Pal, or Cub Scout Day Camp. Camping, or any outdoor activity, is where Scouting is most effective. It allows out Scouts to try new things, gain new skills, and most importantly have FUN.
Thank you to Mrs. Grier, Mr. Lolli, Mr. Gray and Mr. Morgan for taking the time to be our leaders for each of our camps this summer. And a big THANK YOU to all of the parents who sent their boys to camp. We know they all had a great time and look forward to even higher attendance next year.
September is coming fast. Activites in our dens will become more challenging as our Scouts move to the next rank. We'll be welcoming new Scouts in September, and have another full year for you. As always, your help is needed and appreciated. Even you can only help on one special project, your help is always welcome. Contact any of our leaders if you want to lend a hand.
For now, pictures from some of our camps are now in the Gallery, with more to be added soon. And remember . . .
DO YOUR BEST!
Congratulations, Mr. Gray
By being awarded the Cub Scout Den Leader Award, Mr. Gray was recognized for what we already knew. Mr. Gray has taken what he learned in Cub Scout Leader Training and used it to implement a fantastic program for the Cub Scouts in his den, and will continue to do so through the ranks as he prepared these Cubs to be Boy Scouts, one of the purposes of Cub Scouting. When you see Mr. Gray wearing this knot on his uniform shirt, be sure to congratulate and thank him for the fantastic job he does for the Scouts of Pack 16. |
On March 27, 2011, at the Dan Beard District Volunteer Recognition Dinner, our Wolf Den Leader Robert Gray was Awarded the Cub Scout Den Leader Award.
